The new is coming!

My temporary neighbourhood of mews houses, which used to house horses and carriages with servant quarters upstairs, and big townhouses, which housed the owners and employers of such, is being overshadowed by glass and steel office buildings.

It's funny to think that when these mews houses and townhouses were built in Edinburgh's New Town in late XIXth century, they were also considered modern monstrosities...
