Temporary Traffic lights

This notice caught our eye as we drove home on the A71, that anyone driving through the red light will be reported to the police.

Sounds a bit extreme until you count the sheer number of vehicles coming through from the opposite direction (actually we lost count as there was a break before another convoy came), suggesting that jumping a red light might mean having to reverse a very long way back to the start, wearing a face as red as said traffic light, not to mention a red card from the police.
