Falmouth to Boston Logan Airport
Today is our last day on the ‘wrong’ side of the Pond. It has been something of an adventure one way and another but in the end it has been an interesting and enjoyable experience.
This morning the sun was shining again and after we packed our bags and checked out of our apartment we spent a last hour mooching along the beach. It was almost deserted and we enjoyed the solitude.
We then drove to a waterside spot just south of Boston (see photograph) where we had some lunch and a short stroll to get the blood flowing.
After that we drove to the airport and dropped the car off at the rental facility. I was prepared to do battle with Enterprise for not having had the ‘luxury’ car that we had booked. In the event they were ahead of me and without prompting refunded just under half of what we had paid for the rental. Result.
Check-in and security wasn’t too bad although given our age different Mr Flossmo was allowed to keep his shoes on but I had to take mine off. Bonkers or what?
Now we are now holed up in a cafe waiting for our flight to be called. That is currently running an hour late but such is life. It will be good to get home and I am looking forward to a cuddle with Sky. It’s good to go on holiday and good to get back home.
