Lunch Club flowers

I haven’t been to Lunch Club since the end of July because of our two trips to the mainland during August and early September. We were short of helpers today because of other commitments and illness so we were kept busy. I made a pan of carrot and courgette soup because I had a glut of courgettes and a surplus of carrots. It went down well and there was very little left. The other soup on offer was broccoli, pea and basil which was delicious and I have come home with a portion of it for my lunch tomorrow. For various reasons we had a lower turn-out than usual with only ten folk turning up but there was lots of chat and only a little remained of the bramble and apple crumble that somebody else had provided for desert. All in all, another successful Lunch Club.
