Birds of a feather.....

A huge flock of starlings, or a murmuration to use the the correct term, taken from my window today. There were many more than I was able to quickly capture, soaring in a great curtain across the sky.
Learned some interesting facts. They fly in large flocks as protection from predators, but also to exchange information on good feeding grounds. Amazing that they never crash into each other. What fantastic choreography!
