Birthday Girl . . . .

My good friend Shelly travelled up from her home in Hertfordshire to Walsall today, on her 49th birthday. She wanted to see some of our local nature reserves, which have featured in so many of my photos on Blipfoto, Flickr etc.
It was my absolute pleasure to be able to share Park Lime Pits, Hayhead Wood, The Dingle and Cuckoo's Nook with her - I see these places on a daily basis, and although I never take them for granted I sometimes forget how lucky I am to have all this greenery on my doorstep. Watching someone seeing it all for the first time, and firing off 250+ photos in the process, was a superb way to spend a sunny summers day . . . . .
