Houseguest

Our friends Steve and Cindy went to Shipshewana, Indiana with our other friends Mike and Cindy, so we volunteered to dog-sit their black lab Raven.

She is very well-behaved, plus she knows how to tell time. I was told to feed her supper at 5 p.m., so she entered my den space at 4:55 and promptly "asked" me to feed her. I did.

We had a bad rain yesterday, and when it's heavy downpour, our street floods. In spite of Lisa's warning, I waded out to clear the drains. With my second stab, I felt my back go, and it was REALLY bad. I went to bed at 8 p.m., and it was a little bit better today, but it is still dicey. It has turned into an 18 year problem, but I hate the idea of back surgery.
