Snap with lots of moiré of my monitor displaying three photo used to check a digital camera for dust spots. The seller being one of the UK's biggest, if not the biggest, photo and video retailer, gave their usual line of "the sensor is clean and free of dust, marks and scratches. After finding a camera was very obviously not so last year, on a first outing, I've been checking any purchases much more thoroughly.
Hadn't expected to find any issues with a camera that had only taken ~800 photos, but the first image on the left shows I was very wrong. Middle image was after using a bulb type blower - all the bigger spots have gone, but it's still manky. Last image after using a special brush, fortunately managed to remove the majority of the debris. Think a wet process will be required to clean off the few remaining. Will certainly require the wet process for the two other camera sensors that were similarly tackled today.
Hoping to use the above camera with a special lens that may arrive tomorrow.
