The Andromeda Galaxy...

...from our lawn.

We were promised a clear evening and night so I set up my telescope hoping to get some more practice to get used to using the astrophotography camera and controller.  Typically though, it clouded over at 10pm so I only managed 43 one minute exposures... This is a very quick live stack image, tomorrow I'll have a go at processing in photoshop.

We had a terrific but thankfully brief thunderstorm last night bringing 15mm of rain in about 15 minutes.
