The altar end of the chapel

I have had a lovely day on duty at Wimpole Hall.  I thought I would be tired after my Oxford trip but I was full of energy.  I was allocated my time in the basement today.   The best bit was 3 hours in the chapel.  When I was first shown the chapel  months ago I thought I would never enjoy working there.  But our visitors are so impressed with the beauty of the room it is a pleasure to give them more details about why it was built.  PS. The camera does not produce the ceiling decoration accurately.  The ceiling "roses" are gold but for some reason they show blue circles.  Odd..sorry!
