WITH A SONG IN MY HEART

The Big Ships…

…sail down the alley alley O!
We absolutely love it here in Blythe. There is much to see even just from our hotel window but we did have a walk along the front and into the town centre - a bit run down there but there are enough shops to get what you might need.
After our walk we came into the lounge and bar for a pint and got talking to the wife of the bar manager who was there with their little boy. They are a lovely family and made a a big fuss of Bella who was in her element.
The boy - Jay - was about 8 and has Autism and ADHD but the mum and dad are very positive and he seemed a happy and well balanced child.
Frank chatted with her for a while as he used to work with kids with such disorders when he was a charge nurse with CAMHS.
We saw these massive ships come sailing by and Jay and I ran outside to take photos. The one in the lower half takes  cables out to be laid under the sea. It was enormous and had to be taken out by a pilot boat. The parts that look like the big dipper are where the cables rest on.
I could watch the activity in harbours and docks all day.

When we left the house this morning we were drenched just from putting things in the car but the further East we drove the better the weather became.
We had a lovely meal downstairs in the pub and then came up to read in bed. It wasn’t long before Frank was snoring. It was a long, long drive.
I feel nice and relaxed here ;-)

Goodnight :-)X
