BigMow at work.

The grass sports pitches at the University of Stirling campus are always well maintained. The BigMow robotic lawnmower was quietly going about its business this afternoon, working quite autonomously, sonar sensors alert to human or natural obstacles. Grass stripes are about a metre wide. I’d add there are human grounds staff too; they were working near here recently! I’ve watched my younger son play here for the University team, and my older son for a local club team. I usually stood near the standing stone on the left side of photo, it’s a feature on the playing field. It wasn’t always as warm as today, it can be a cold spot with wind coming off the Ochils!
