Maremmano-Abruzzese dog

These are the breed of dogs that guard the sheep in Switzerland. There are many more than there used to be and it can be quite intimidating to come across one. This one looked friendly on our hike today but the other two did a lot of barking. Some footpaths are now being closed if there are sheep dogs around.

We got the cable cars (two) up to the view point beyond Vercorin and hiked up to the top of the La Brinta before heading home. The extra shows the view from near the summit.
