Polishing the needles

Our little blipper sewing group went to the Redditch Needle museum today ostensibly to see a small exhibition of works in different types of lace.  That was very interesting and informative and then we did the rest of the museum aswell.

This shot is one of the rolls around a few thousand needles going into the scourer with emery powder,  soapy water and putty powder for their polishing.  Fascinating stuff!
