Turkey
Up at 5.30am to get ready for our early morning excursions to Ephesus and the House of the Virgin Mary. Turkey
Ephesus is quite special example of a Greco Roman city, which housed over 250,000 people at its height over 2000 years ago. Not surprisingly, it is a UNESCO World Heritage site.
After our visit there, we went to see the House of the Virgin Mary, where it is purported that Mary spent the final years of her life there before ascending to heaven. It certainly seemed to have an effect on some of the visitors.
Back on the ship before lunchtime for some late breakfast before we head off to the Greek island of Patmos this afternoon.
I hope you are having a good start to the week.
