Cotton-grass
My trip to the beautiful island of Fara this weekend was interesting in itself (DDW challenge of the day, interesting) - Fara is an uninhabited island which was used to store ammunition in the wars and used to be full of houses and even a school before it was abandoned in the late 60s. For anyone interested in history, it would probably be even more interesting, and the kids find something cool nearly everytime we are over there and it gets them interested in the history of the place. I decided not to blip any old plates or bottles from the war though, but this plant I found, researched it and is called cotton-grass. I'd never seen it before.
