A bizarre sight

This road without cars is not something you ever see. Put simply, tenement flats were not built with garages, and so are rather inconvenient for the modern household. Living in this area, I regard my lack of car as an act of public service! Usually there is a sufficiently wide variety of parking violations here to appal even the most lazy traffic warden! But no, it is being resurfaced (and it was in dire need), so bye bye cars (apparently a good number were towed). Wonderful smell of tar here too.

So good to have that sky, I went for a wee wander this afternoon after church without a jacket. Simple pleasures!
