A very British picnic...
... in the rain.
A whole day today helping bri out at a horsey-cross-country event thing today in the West of Scotland somewhere with a whole load of midges (nasty Scottish mosquito type things).
The weather was its usual eclectic self. Sun, clouds, rain, thunder, lightning all within a couple of hours. This lady had just been enjoying a picnic in the sun when the rain came on.
Quite a fun escapist day and we came away with a good set of shots - although wishing I had a faster camera/lens combo.
Some of the blip rejects:
> Reject 1: Gallop (Mrs42's favourite)
> Reject 2: 42 shoots 42
> Reject 3: Colour Rider
> Reject 4: Bokeh Rider
> Reject 5: 132 Rain
On the way home we drove through a thunder and hail storm. In June! The hailstones were as big as chickpeas and lay like a thick carpet across the motorway. In June!
Weird.

LOTD: Panorama's sleepy dog blip is fab. I like the composition, DOF, wide angle and shadow.
