A life on the ocean waves!

This is the hull of a boat - and, I am reliably informed, it's a "klinker" design. This mean it's made of wood and all the slats are overlapped to make the boat water-tight.

The vikings made this type of boat building famous and you can see loads of examples in the Outer Hebrides.

This one was found, upturned, in a Glasgow industrial estate!
