All best laid plans
Don’t always work.
You may (or may not) recall back in May Mr Cs relative was to visit from America as she does every year to visit her home country but had realised a couple of days before their trip that her passport had expired so everything was rearranged for them to visit in September.
They arrived this week and we arranged to take them to Hampton Court. Mr C booked tickets and also a return journey on the boat from Kingston. Anyway, when Mr C woke this morning he realised he had a message from her the night before to say she was in a&e after a fall. He spoke to her this morning and she has broken her wrist that was also dislocated. They were at the theatre and returning back to her seat during the interval when she had a fall, possibly slipping on a programme but she wasn’t sure. Hence, understandably, they didn’t make todays trip and they are now looking at flying home early as she will need surgery.
I woke Lucy up to ask if she wanted to come with us and she did. The boat trip was lovely and we had perfect weather too. On the way home we picked up a Chinese takeaway and we were all pretty shattered.
Extras
This was taken on the way to catch our boat by Kingston Bridge.
