Wetwoofing

The plan had been to get an overhanging tree trimmed while we were here.  However, the weather was wet with extra Yorkshire so we settled on playing a few games.

Dog Park (dogs are a thing in the Sheffield household) was a new one on us.  An interesting mix of bidding, set collections, and point salad'ry, which was good. 

I, playing yellow as ever, may appear to be ahead here but that's not a situation that stands the text of the time.

Also played Cottage Garden, Point Salad*, and Standing Under A Tree Getting Very Wet And Giving Up.

"Point Salad" started as a bit of a derogatory term for some modern boardgames; games where you can pick&mix between multiple ways you can score points.  Point Salad is a game named in reaction to the term, and does indeed involve multiple point-scoring options, and salad.
