Peggy
We decided to get out and about today - there was a Miners' Gala at the National Coalmining Museum just outside Wakefield so we went along. It was ok, not as much going on as I thought, but we had a pleasant few hours. Lottie held a little tawny owl, and we had a quick look at the museum.
This is 'Peggy Thorpe' - she is a resident of a miners' cottage during the war, tells you all about what life was like back then, gets the kids involved and is really interesting.
We also squeezed in a visit to the park so Lottie got some more practice on her bike and played on the slides.
Boo - weekend almost over, as is the good weather apparently :-(
