EEK! A HUMAN!
We finally got a long put-off job done today - clearing and cleaning our back yard and shed. Several car loads of stuff went to the dump and for recycling, and more will go tomorrow. We knew that mice were living in the shed, and we wanted to get rid of all the rubbish they use for nesting. B moved a yellow plastic crate and found in it a nest with parents and five babies, who were all panic-stricken. The babies were about as long as the first joint on my thumb. We dismantled the nest and then went to the pub, hoping the family would be gone when we got back, and they were (but probably they're under the shed). Improved shed and yard hygiene will be maintained from now on.
