Out of season.....

.....one lonely agapathus bud held its own since May right through winter to slowly unfurling since the first day of spring, now a beautiful mass of tiny flowers, out of season, a fighter.

Slow quiet day here, our night unsettled. Neighbours had a full on party last night finishing at 3am, thankfully this is a rare occurrence. Music blasting in all directions as severe wind gusts tore through the garden, whistling down the chimney while mingling with the flapping of our greenhouse, a real mix of noise. Hubby snored through it all I finally got some sleep at 7am, birds were truly awake by then....what a night!

Greenhouse is still intact but pots of plants had fallen and tipped out, T has repotted everything. Strawberry plants, spring onions, chives, carrots, beetroot, sage, rosemary, asparagus are just some of our pots. Greenhouse is still flapping around.

We've all got stuffy noses and itchy eyes as pollen coats everything in a fine yellow dust, that's spring.

Happy Sunday everyone :)
