Glendorch

Another beautiful day at times really hot and sultry. Took the dogs up Corbie Hall and followed the track round to Glendorch. There is very little standing beyond these trees. Got some great shots of an amazingly twisted tree trunk and some of the old fireplace and rusty beds. There are some really amazing sandstone lintels that suggest it was once a pretty major building not just a herds cottage. Walked on and round the hill and back by another ruined cottage at Snar. It was getting quite dark and a few fat drops of rain but didn't come to anything. The skylarks sang us all the way round but saw very little of any other wildlife.
