Mallaig
It was simply glorious this morning when I got up to take Phin down to the beach and it stayed that way all day. I even had my shorts on all day.
After a lazy morning (though a bit disappointed not to have my anticipated bacon sandwich due the bacon being over a week past its use by date!) sitting in the sun we headed up into the village to collect the car. We picked up some langoustine tails and more mackerel pate from the Seafood Shack and headed back to the site for a spot of lunch.
We drove into Mallaig for a quick wander. It was very quiet until the Jacobite steam train arrived from Fort William! Enjoyed a lovely coffee whilst Mr PHL are a slice of coffee and walnut cake and then had a walk along the pier before we headed back again.
Met some lovely people and their dogs on the beach before dinner. The langoustine tails were very nice with a homemade Marie rose sauce and we followed that with steak, potatoes and veg. Too much food but very tasty.
