WITH A SONG IN MY HEART

Stamps

I have this box of stamps that I have collected over the years, I always meant to do something arty with them so I had a look through them all then put them away! Still thinking about it.
I had a nice little message chat with wee Lucy (8) today. She sent me a selfie and her lips are all dry and cracked, she thinks she’s allergic to their kitten Frankie :-(. Anyway she asked me what I was doing and I told her I was thinking of making a collage. She didn’t know what that meant so I sent her 5 youtube videos about collaging for kids. One was Picasso style and she didn’t know who he was so I told her and sent another link.
She has been upset recently about school. A little girl in her class has not been very nice to her and said ‘You don’t deserve to be in this school because you’re not even a catholic!’
Sabrina was straight on the phone! No they are not a religious family but any faith or non faith children are welcome there. The girls both love their school and their teachers and it is a wonderful school.
It’s been really cold and windy here today.
I’m tired now because last night we didn’t have a proper meal for tea as someone called round to see us and stayed for ages so after they left we just had rolls with sausages. So I woke up at 3am with a rumbling tummy.
I got up and had some cereal and lay on the couch listening to a series by Lucy Worsley about Lady Killers. Gruesome but I fell asleep and missed most of the episodes.
The visit was a woman from 3 doors up who is a wonderful poet and Frank asked her a while ago if she would recite some of her poems at the next jam session. Her poems are fabulous - about real life, quite raw and often funny but nothing flowery. I’m looking forward to hearing her.

Thanks for all the comments, stars and hearts this week :-)

Goodnight ;-) X
