Besalu
We are staying right in the heart of this medieval town. It is famous for this beautiful 12th century bridge. We have walked over it many times as the car is parked on the other side of it! Besalu is very busy with day trippers but almost a ghost town when they leave. We have an apartment in the main square so look down on all these trippers pouring through - see extra :)).
Today we had an early run around Lake Banyoles (where the rowing was in the Barcelona olympics). It is a very impressive set up, many sports catered for and free parking. Then a late breakfast and very little else except buying a rotisserie chicken for dinner.
