Plan Bee

Sunday is the day when I usually enter my weekly BTO Garden Birdwatch records. There are various tabs for data entry. Birds of course, but also mammals, reptiles and amphibians, and dragonflies. These I can cope with, but there is also a tab for invertebrates which has mainly bees listed. I haven't really any clue about these, so that's a new challenge for me. I chased a few around the garden today and tried to get some photos. Good enough to help with ID, but not the quality of image I'd hoped for. Also, we went down to get a live view of the peregrine chicks which seem close to fledging but there wasn't a lot to see. Still, especially on a nice day, there is always something beautiful in the garden for a blip, and this iris which I planted in the pond is approaching its peak.
