Ancient And Modern

Arrived in Manchester this afternoon and, having found the hotel more by accident than design, walked round to the Corn Exchange for a pre-concert drink. The sun had brought hordes of people out to enjoy some refreshment outside the pubs but here, just a few yards away, things were far more tranquil, with the back of the Old Wellington pub, Chetham's Music School and The Arndale Centre providing a contrasting touch of Ancient and Modern.
