On Show
Di picked me up early morning to drive to the Harrogate Flower Show held at Newby Hall and Gardens, Ripon.
We were both doing the afternoon shift on the trade stand for Perennial ( the horticultural charity that owns YorkGate gardens where we both volunteer).
We had a complimentary tickets into the show and made the most of them squeezing in as much as possible but mostly concentrating on the show tents.
We had some lunch while watching a Q&A session with a panel of experts and fortunately two subjects hit on two queries l have about my own garden.
We did our shift and the time went by quickly.
We took a different route home to avoid the traffic and the next thing l knew l was passing the end of the the drive where my brother lives!
Took me by surprise as l had never entered Boroughbridge from a new direction, so we called to see him.
He had just arrived home after a short holiday where he done plenty of dancing. He looked well considering the treatment he is undergoing.
He gives the tightest hugs and still feels strong for a 92 year old.
