Eggciting day!

Our tap water is currently diesel flavoured but in more positive news, four new chickens arrived today! And one of them is already laying eggs!

We’ve got 2 Rhode Rocks and 2 Cream Legbars. It is the legbars who lay small blue eggs.

They are in the cardboard box until dusk when they will be quietly placed on the perch beside the other 6 hens. That way, they hopefully won’t get bullied too much when the existing flock wake up and realise what’s going on. That’s the plan anyway - we’ll see!
