Civilisation

I wanted to catch a photo exhibition at the Saatchi gallery before it finishes this weekend. I had heard recommendations and it lived up to the reviews. Photographs on different themes of the way civilisation seems to be hurtling towards oblivion. Or maybe not.

One image was a double exposure which gave me this idea. It is a vast show which I found a little overwhelming. Also, with this type of show, there doesn't seem to be much joy in the pictures. They are almost all portraying despair and desperation in their subjects. 

It would be nice to see a few pictures of people doubled up with laughter. But perhaps that wouldn't be very cool.
