Candlelight and Flowers

This is just a quick iPhone shot taken of the centerpiece on the table at the wedding we attended this evening at the Brooklyn Botanical Gardens.  The ceremony and cocktails were supposed to be outside, followed by dinner and dancing in the conservatory (The Palm House), but thunderstorms threatened all afternoon and the smart decision was to move it all indoors.

We were a bit concerned about Covid exposure during the whole affair, but fortunately I did not know many people so could safely avoid crowding and stand back and watch it all.  Had very little need to hug anyone.

It was a lovely wedding, but I am surely showing my age because it was all so very loud and at times I just had to step out of the conservatory for a little respite from the loud music and talking.
