It fits!
As I swapped my work days this week, today was a non-work day. I’m going back to work tomorrow for a rest! It’s been a busy one. But lots of little (and not so little) jobs achieved. Including a new hand rail on the stairs (not fitted by me) and a quote for a further hand rail by the door, haircut/colour, supermarket shop, some admin for the freelance photo work, flu shot booked in etc.
J’s brother had borrowed this wheelchair from a friend for our trip to Anglesey. They have said they don’t need it back if we can use it. My car is a little Hyundai i10, so I expected that the only way to transport it would be with the back seat down. I was pleasantly surprised when I tried it out. J can no longer drive so the plan is to get rid of both our cars and replace them with a new one (probably leased through motability). So I think I need to go and view/test drive some to give J a potential shortlist. However to me, cars are no more than sometimes the most convenient way to get from a to b, and there are so many options so I am struggling to find much enthusiasm for the task! Particularly as a whole heap of the essential criteria are to do with J’s current limitations rather than positive choices.
