Flu Jab and shopping today has meant I have had no time for new images today. So here are two from yesterday or should I say yesteryear.

The Blips were taken in a Mail Sorting Carriage when mail was sorted as the train made its journey. The Blip shows the bag used for letters, that were sorted on the train,  that was then picked up automatically as the train was travelling.

The extra shows the opening in the carriage  where the mail bags were collected automatically. The sacks were then opened up and the mail then sorted.

With the news that HS2 may not advance beyond Birmingham it was interesting to learn that Brunel surveyed the route for the Great Western Railway in just under a month and the route from Bristol to London was built in under three years. Such is progress.
