The History of a Cushion
We inherited this cushion from my Mum back in 2010 and we decided to give it a new cover (top left). 

Today we decided to take the cover off to see if the cushion inside was worth keeping as knew it was old. 

The older covers just kept on coming. Mother had obviously kept adding a new cover when needed without removing the previous…. Just like we did

The age of the covers, from the layers are shown from top left (our cover) anticlockwise to the top right. The original cushion is shown top centre, which, seems to have been just made up of reused fabric and stuffed with feathers. 

Looking at the fabrics I am guessing she inherited the cushion from either her mum (my nana) or more likely from her Mums sister who owned the house I grew up in. (Great Aunt Amy)
