Frank found him on the floor in the extension. As not everything is sealed up yet he must have found his way in through a gap. He took the wee bird outside and it flew off.

I woke up shivery this morning and a bit later my temperature shot up to 39.1°. It’s two weeks since I had the last fever. I had to keep adding layers till I felt warm enough then I fell asleep. I had to cancel my eye test and also an evening at the social club with the art group and book group. Never mind, I can reschedule.

Frank made nice spicy lentil soup for lunch and then he found a recipe in The Guardian Feast magazine for Meera Sodha’s vegan carrot cake.
