With the Binos idle after the 3-0 cuffing by E Kilbride in the previous round of the Challenge Cup, the boys had the choice of Arbroath or Greenock to tick of a new ground in their quest to visit all 42 Scottish League grounds. Morton won out, so off we traisped on the train to Glasgow; with Panda spotting and meal deals ahead of the train to Greenock.

Rather than get off at Cartsdyke, we headed into town to poke about. As grim as we expected was the verdict; before walking along the banks of the silvery Clyde to Cappielow for Greenock Morton v Elgin City.

Elgin scored a belter of a goal, but their keeper rather gifted 2 goals back to Morton who ran out unconvinving 2-1 winners. But free pies! Obviously overstimating the appeal of the game, the caterers were left with loads of unsold pies, so mindful of having 2 growing lads..... I can report I was happy with my kebab pie - words I did not think I would utter, but there you go.

We opted for urbex at Port Glasgow (the boys had seen TikTok videos of the place and wanted to explore. )
