My Dear Princess and Dear Fellow,

I got some excellent news today! 

I applied for citizenship to Aotearoa last December, and it has finally been confirmed. I just need to deliver the official Affirmation of Allegiance at a local ceremony and I'm in!

That ceremony should take place this year, but I have to wait for confirmation on the date.

I messaged my Moemoea pals at Kāinga Ora. They were very excited and have told me they will teach me to deliver the affirmation in Te Reo. 

Corrie however, responded by saying, "Oh no! We let the riff-raff in!"

It's too late, Corrie. I'm one affirmation away from being a Kiwi FOREVER.
