Doon the Watter!!
Our trip "doon the watter" to the beautiful Isle of Bute on a glorious June weekend started at the rail and ferry terminal at Wemyes Bay.
The Wemyes Bay Railway station is beautiful. It was designed by James Miller in 1903 for the Caledonian Railway and is remarkable in its use of glass and steel curves. The station is noted for its architectural qualities and is one of Scotland's finest railway buildings and Category A listed.
