SLEEPING OFF A NAP

We're at the zoo in Milwaukee watching the Japanese Macaques (Macaca fuscata), a.k.a. Snow Monkeys, on Monkey Island.

Like myself, on occasion, they can get a bit lethargic in warm weather. Clearly, it's siesta time for this one.

Native to the northern islands of Japan, they are right at home here in Wisconsin's winters.  Their population is stable and is of least concern.
