I said on Monday that Mr Flum had began cutting the hedge, today he finished it* while I was busy cooking blackberries and the elderberries. The total picked was just over 5kg.

After much consideration (and counting of available jars) I am making a batch of bramble jelly (currently dripping) and a batch of bramble-and-elderberry jelly (to drip overnight), I froze 500g of whole fruit,
 unfortunately the freezer has very little space for much more. We ate a fair bowlful for tea and still have well over one kg so they'll be cooked and used in other ways.
