Blackberries and pizza
I went for a long walk this morning to cover some of the tracks from yesterday. We'd seen some amazing blackberries and sloes, but didn't have a container to put them in. I hadn't expected to walk so far or be out for so long, but a full container later and some beautiful views made it worth it. This is their house as you come over the stream bridge. They get a lot of walkers doing the Dale's Way and will soon start to offer rooms and meals. Lizzie came home from work and after lunch we drove into Sedbergh to have coffee and cake and a little bit of shopping. This was the village we stayed in last year and they live a lot closer now.
Late,r Steve drive us into Kendal to the Tap bar where we had sour dough pizza from a food truck out the front. It's the man who has the lovely coffee shop we went in on Friday.. Apparently this was what got him through lockdown and they were so popular he continued. We then walked up to Kendal Castle ruin with beautiful views and grassland. We did a big loop and walked past some stunning properties. A good day.
