Freeze

This squirrel appeared to think that if she froze and didn't move, then I wouldn't see her or carry on walking towards that part of the garden. She soon thought better of that tactic. We ended up having 40mm of rain yesterday, more than the average for the month of Sept here. This morning I took a photo of a ladybird that was still covered in raindrops (see extra). I'm not sure what type of ladybird it is. I spent a few hours digging / weeding in the wildflower area which was easy to dig after the rain (I tried last week and couldn't even get the spade in the ground). The pond is full to nearly overflowing.
