A good day
We had a lazy morning, although MrMacD designed and printed a card to send off to a friend whose birthday is next week. We set off to walk to Dooleys Masonry, who also sell and lay tiles. On the way we called into The Warehouse to buy envelopes, but they didn’t have what we wanted. As we walked through their carpark we came across a vehicle with an interesting number plate, but the even more interesting thing was the three dogs in the front seat, at least one dog in the back and a little lamb, who poked his/her head out the window to say hello. When we reached Dooleys the chap in the shop was very calm, helpful, and went out of his way to make it easy for us to decide what we liked and what we didn’t. We felt confident that we’d be in good hands if we decide to go ahead after we’ve got their quote. From there we walked back towards town to buy some envelopes, and a pair of trousers and shoes that I can wear and not worry about when I’m doing the furniture restoration. Our next port of call was to Sheetmetal Specialists to collect a piece of metal to cover a hole on the outside of the laundry wall, which will also incorporate the external part of an extractor fan. After that we walked up the hill to home - a good walk of 8.2kms.
After a quick lunch we got out into the garden while the sun was shining. I firstly made three videos for friends overseas, which were parts one, two and three of a tour of our garden. I’ve sent the first one and if that gets through successfully I’ll send the other two. MrMacD was busy doing some weeding and digging out plants that we know we don’t want. I pruned some hydrangeas that were in need of attention.
While MrMacD prepared supper I spent some time catching up on blippers’ journals, which I’ve been quite remiss at doing recently. Now I’m up to date I need to stay that way.
