Garter

Another sign the summer is about to come to an end. We mowed the island property today and saw  this snake, a box turtle and a doe and her two fawns. Soon the snakes and turtles will seek a safe place to curl up for the winter. The swamp deer will probably count on the islanders for corn and bird seeds and any other handouts they can find (azaleas). I guess Mother Nature needs a rest period but I sure miss all the creatures when they go into hiding. Many thanks for your visits yesterday...Be Blessed!
