Committal

Due to another engagement I could not attend the service of thanksgiving for one of our long-standing members of our congregation.

I did however manage to the earlier shorter service of committal at Mortonhall Crematorium.

I have visited the crematorium far too often but today for the first time I really noticed the glass windows. Possibly because the numbers attending were smaller and we were not chatting on the way out or because the sunlight was at the optimum angle.

Whatever the reason, it was a bright splash of colour in contrast to the more austere wall one faces when sitting.
