Glue...

I didn't take this photo today, but I did use it at work. It's a pic of resin oozing out of a tree in Langsett woods - taken about a week ago. Trees produce the resin in order to 'heal' themselves...fascinating.

I use this at work as part of outdoor learning in a topic about the Stone Age. They mixed tree resin with charcoal to make  a very strong glue.

The resin smells amazing & how did they every think of doing that in the first place?
