Tracking the Tour

A very decent afternoon in the saddle, out to Southwell, which was the nearest point to home that the Nottinghamshire Stage of the Tour of Britain came and then on to Newark for the finish. There were loads of (non-racing) cyclists about everywhere and a pleasantly festive atmosphere prevailed, aided by the sunshine, no doubt, though it did make the homeward stretch feel a little bit more like hard work... Oh, and I believe that's the eventual stage winner there in the blue and red jersey, back at about seven or eighth wheel...
